A Message from the President

Go to the Top

By Doug Ruffin
President,
Boston Music Coalition

I had a phenomenal New Years Eve. I saw a lot of live music during first night. Today, however, I want to share a magnificent music experience on the night before New Years Eve, Friday, December 30’2011, I took some one special to dine at the top, you know, the Top of the Hub. Fancy-Shmancy you say? How about we call it what it really is; Elegant dining with superb service. The food is amazing and in the casual dining area, the Top of the Hub has something that many venues in Boston still have yet to offer, Live music … no … wait … Live music … every night.

Even those of us who have less than a million in our bank accounts can enjoy a quality night of dining, music and dancing in the classy casual area at the Top of the Hub. The night we were there, the Bob Neiske Trio performed. I made a request and the friendly band members played a song for me. The acoustics are perfect for dining. You never have to ask your table partner, “I can’t tell, is that live music playing?” Still, the music is never invasive to the dining experience.

Cheers to the smart decision makers at the Top of the Hub for fulfilling a need and expanding live music. If you have a dining venue and you want to move to the top; follow the lead from the top. Get some live music performers. Now!
